To provide field service support for Installation / commissioning / troubleshooting, of customer owned equipment.
Including but not limited to:
Time Served craftsperson in appropriate discipline, ideally with a NVQ 3 / HNC Mechanical Engineering. Substantial job experience in a similar role. Centrifugal compressor installation, overhaul & refurbishment. Pump and steam turbine installation, overhaul & refurbishment. Basic control systems.
Overhaul and commissioning of steam turbines up to 100mw, gas compressors and pumps.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, risk assessment, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and engineering drawings. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Confident communicator with customers, contractors and fellow workers. Be an ambassador for the company at the front line.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Proficient in Microsoft office software.

Driving licence, valid passport, IOSH managing safely, safety passport. Offshore certification beneficial.
Ability to work at height and in confined spaces. Physically demanding role with the need to carry heavy equipment weighting up to 20kg. Physically able to work 12 hour shifts, including nights, if required.
Will be required to work overseas, on occasion e.g. refineries, power stations, steel works etc, for extended periods, as well as working offshore. Regular working outdoor in adverse weather conditions.
