    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    Reporting to NATCA Sales Director, Solutions Sales Manager is responsible for the identification of new opportunities within NATCA region as well as leading of existing sales projects which required supplying of solutions. Main focus for SSM will be solutions which include separation, classification, slurry and water transportation, comminution processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the identification, development, organization, administration and management of solution sales projects.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    • Identify opportunities through intensive end user, contractors and engineering companies visits;
    • Define technological and sales strategy for each project to get maximum chances of getting the order;
    • Prepare customized solution presentations for each client and case;
    • Provide growths of solutions content in company turnover;
    • Build-up new and develop existing partnerships network with End Users, Contractors and Engineering Companies;
    • Drive solutions projects development starting from different kind of test work and engineering and ending by Contract signing;
    • Define requirements for engineering team in terms of required knowledge and skills in order to be able to prepare engineered solution;
    • Achieve budget targets related to solution projects;
    • Regularly train sales team in terms of solution approach and applicable technologies;
    • Coordinate the various stages of solutions projects between client, Weir engineering and technological entities, intercompany and 3rd party sub-suppliers;
    • Continuous cooperation with research and engineering centers in Australia, Netherlands, Chile, South Africa and Austria in order to find best practices and decrease technological risks during projects engineering
    • Support Supply Chain Team in terms of finding cost effective and technologically reliable sub-suppliers;
    • Prepare quotations for solution projects;
    • Define geo- and hydro- technical consultants as well as engineering partners where it is necessary;
    • Search literature and assimilate information generated by others with the aim of solving relevant project issues;
    • Provide specialist technical input into team project work;
    • Develop or bring forward, as appropriate, industry best practices and new technologies;
    • Liaise with contractors, vendors and other stakeholders on a commercial and technical level and present reports, publications and presentations in a professional manner;
    • Apply a sound basic knowledge of safety, environmental and energy-related issues during the execution of projects;
    • Where it is necessary translate Technical Requirements, RFQ’s and other project documentation in case of Weir international offices involvement in project;
    • Client visits at least 50% of time.

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    • Higher technical degree in mining, hydraulics or metallurgy
    • At least five years of experience in international producer of mining equipment
    • Experience in selling mining and mineral processing solutions

    Core Competencies

    • Understanding of separation, classification, transportation, comminution and paste preparation technologies;
    • Fluent English and Russian languages, Kazakh, Turkish or Arabic languages would be an advantage;
    • Understanding and being able to adjust himself to cultural differences within countries of NATCA region;
    • Strong team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internal and external;
    • Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
